John V. Byl, Michael L. Robinson and Eugene E. Smary have once again been selected for inclusion in&nbsp;The International Who's Who of Environment Lawyers 2015. Warner Norcross is one of only three Michigan firms included on this list and is once again the only law firm in Michigan to have multiple representatives listed for recognition. &nbsp; The annual publication identifies the preeminent attorneys in environmental law by conducting extensive interviews with private practice lawyers and general counsel who have expertise in the field. All three have been recognized with inclusion for multiple years. &nbsp; The three are all past chairs of the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. All three concentrate their practices in environmental law and are recognized in&nbsp;The Best Lawyers in America&nbsp;and&nbsp;Michigan Super Lawyers. &nbsp; Byl focuses his practice on environmental law and economic incentives.&nbsp; He is currently co-chair of the firm’s Economics Incentives Group and is past chair of the firm’s Environmental Practice Group, which is among the largest in the Midwest and recognized by&nbsp;Best Lawyers&nbsp;and other publications as the top-ranked environmental practice in the state. Byl serves as chair of the Michigan Chapter of the National Brownfield Association and as vice chair of the national board. Byl has been recognized by&nbsp;Michigan Lawyers Weekly&nbsp;as a Leader in the Law. &nbsp; Byl is the past chair of the West Michigan Air and Waste Management Association.&nbsp; He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association. &nbsp; Robinson concentrates his practice exclusively in environmental law for individuals, businesses and municipalities. He is a past chair of the firm’s Environmental Practice Group.&nbsp; Robinson has been recognized in&nbsp;Oxford's Who's Who&nbsp;and&nbsp;Who's Who in the World.&nbsp; Robinson was named the&nbsp;Best Lawyers'&nbsp;2013 Grand Rapids Environmental Litigation Lawyer of the Year for his work in environmental litigation and in 2014 was listed in Leading Lawyers Michigan. &nbsp; Robinson served on the board of the West Michigan Air and Waste Management Association and was co-founder of the University of Michigan's Environmental Law Society. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association. He has held numerous leadership positions with the State Bar of Michigan. &nbsp; Smary has more than 30 years of experience in environmental law and has been recognized both nationally and internationally for his accomplishments.&nbsp;Best Lawyers in America&nbsp;named Smary the 2012 Grand Rapids Environmental Lawyer of the Year.&nbsp; He has also been included in&nbsp;Euromoney's Leading Environmental Lawyers in the World&nbsp;and&nbsp;The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers&nbsp;lists.&nbsp; &nbsp; Smary is vice chair of the International Bar Association Section of Energy, Environment, Resources and Infrastructure Law and past chair of its Environment, Health and Safety Law Committee. He is a past chair of the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy and Resources; State Bar of Michigan Section of Environmental Law; and Grand Rapids Bar Association Section of Environmental Law. He is a fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers and a former trustee of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation.
