Michigan Economic Developer Association’s “In Your Place” Spring Conference takes learning and networking to communities around Michigan with economic development stories to share. This year's event will be in Bay City, a true story of reinvention and a community that clearly has what it takes to attract new business and investment.
Warner Norcross + Judd LLP partner Kurt Brauer will moderate the panel discussion “Our Friend the Brownfield” to discuss the Brownfield Redevelopment Financing Act that has a long history of providing locations for industrial, commercial and residential purposes using contaminated, blighted, functionally obsolete or historic resources in Michigan. Guests will learn the latest updates and hear about the potential that remains with this power tool.
Held on Friday, May 24 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bay City, the event begins at 8:00 a.m. for registration and breakfast and includes a walking tour of the city’s waterfront.
