The East and West Michigan chapters of the Air and Waste Management Association, along with the State Bar of Michigan Environmental Law Section, are pleased to jointly present the Annual Fall Joint Conference “Environmental Compliance: Regulation, Investigation, Enforcement and Litigation” on Thursday, Nov. 2.
Held at Lansing Community College West Campus, this conference brings together environmental and law professionals to discuss emerging scientific, technical, legal and related policy impacting Michigan’s environmental compliance now and in the future. Conference attendees will hear from all levels of government, industry and professional service representatives on a range of issues and will also have ample opportunity to network with colleagues. Warner Norcross + Judd LLP partners Kurt Kissling and Madelaine Lane are on the event’s agenda.
Kissling is an environmental attorney with decades of experience in all matters related to the Clean Air Act as well as its state and local counterparts, including permitting, compliance, enforcement and advocacy. He will serve as moderator for the Morning Session 2.
Lane is an accomplished white collar criminal defense attorney who creates litigation strategies for clients facing complex civil investigations. She will participate on an afternoon panel titled “Criminal Investigations, Litigation and Enforcement.”
