Warner Norcross + Judd LLP attorney Alexander J. Thibodeau has been elected president of the Floyd Skinner Bar Association and will serve a three-year term.
Thibodeau also serves as a trustee to the Grand Rapids Bar Association and has previously served on the Minority Clerkship Committee, which is comprised of members of both the FSBA and GRBA.

Founded in the mid-1980s by attorney Benjamin H. Logan, the Floyd Skinner Bar Association is a professional organization comprised of Kent County African-American lawyers devoted to promoting collegiality, public service and professionalism within the legal profession. The group has performed volunteer services for groups such as West Michigan Food Bank, Kids’ Food Basket and the Inner City Christian Federation. FSBA members host an annual Floyd Skinner Scholarship Reception in late October to provide a monetary award to a deserving minority law student attending law school in the state of Michigan. FSBA also hosts a Minority Clerkship Program which connects law students from diverse backgrounds to clerkship opportunities in greater Grand Rapids.
