Jon Kok and Allyson Terpsma presented a webinar addressing strategies and pitfalls for retaining, terminating and returning employees to work during this COVID-19 pandemic. We addressed reduced hours, underemployment and the latest developments with unemployment (i.e., how it will work under these new laws). We reviewed employer options for tax credits and loans under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and CARES Act. Additionally, we will address strategies for restructuring your workforce to fit the new reality, incentivizing employees to return to (or remain at) work and avoiding discrimination or retaliation claims.
