Kyle Purdy, CPA has joined Warner Norcross + Judd LLP as director of finance.
Purdy brings nearly two decades of experience in financial operations and leadership to the firm, where he will oversee the firm’s accounting department and manage the team and its responsibilities, including billing and collection, payroll, day-to-day accounting and financial reporting. He has an extensive background in strategic planning, financial analysis, budget management and leadership.
Purdy succeeds Bill Badgerow, who is transitioning into retirement this year after a 17-year career with Warner.
Prior to joining Warner, Purdy was a partner and shareholder at H&S Companies, P.C. where he served as a member of the executive leadership team and oversaw finance, human resources, IT and administration. He led various initiatives to grow, streamline and build quality protocols and was a trusted advisor in audit, review, compilation and consultation services for clients.
Purdy also served as assurance director for BDO USA, working in its Grand Rapids, Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio offices. In this role, he managed teams for audits of corporate clients, employee benefit plans and private equity firms.
Additionally, Purdy held the role of controller and vice president for ChoiceOne Bank in Sparta, where he coordinated all monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including SEC-required filings and audits, and served as the point person on budgeting and strategic planning.
Purdy holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration, accounting emphasis, both from Grand Valley State University. He has been a licensed CPA in Michigan since 2008.
Born and raised in Fremont, Purdy now lives in Ada with his wife, Nicole, and their two daughters, Megan and Hannah.
