Warner LLP welcomes Brandon J. Cory to its Grand Rapids office as a litigator.
The Greenville native will concentrate his practice in general commercial litigation.
Cory brings two years of experience in litigation from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in Los Angeles, where he worked on complex matters, including insurance, securities and cybersecurity litigation and Securities and Exchange Commission investigations. He has represented private equity funds with diverse portfolio companies as well as clients in the financial services, insurance and technology industries.
While in California, he also clerked with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles while completing his legal studies, providing eviction defense to indigent clients.
Cory holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and juris doctorate from the UCLA School of Law. Highly proficient in Spanish, he served as a translator for the Human Trafficking Clinic at the University of Michigan Law School while completing his undergraduate studies.
He now resides in Rockford with his wife, Mary.
