Warner Norcross + Judd LLP partner Bruce C. Young has been named to the 2020 class of Senior Neighbors 16 Over 60.
Now in its third year, Senior Neighbors annually selects 16 individuals over the age of 60 in Kent County who have inspired others and positively impacted the community through business excellence and other extraordinary efforts. Young concentrates his practice on corporate and transactional work and succession planning, having advised family businesses and offices for more than 35 years. He is a member of Warner’s Private Client and Family Office Practice Group and chairs its Opinion Review Committee. Young also previously led the firm’s Closely Held Business Practice Group.
His nomination read in part: “Bruce is an inspiring leader within Warner, consistently engaging in additional leadership positions within the firm…[He is] also a remarkable resource, advocate and supporter for family business owners in our area. As a board member and secretary for the Family Business Alliance, Bruce supports the organization’s objective to ensure continued success for family-owned businesses through events, resources and a broad network of business owners.”
Young and other recipients will be honored during a gala and awards ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.
Young has received numerous awards throughout his legal career, including recognition by Best Lawyers since 2013 as a top attorney in Grand Rapids in Closely Held Companies and Family Business, Business Organizations and Corporate Law.
Active professionally and in the community, Young is a member of the Economic Club of Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, Grand Rapids Rotary Club and board member and secretary of the Family Business Alliance. He additionally serves on the boards of the Michigan Crossroads Council and President Ford Field Service Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
