Allyson R. Terpsma, a partner with the law firm Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been honored by&nbsp;Michigan Lawyers Weekly&nbsp;as one of its “Up and Coming Lawyers” for 2022.

Terpsma is recognized in the annual edition that acknowledges the best of Michigan’s up-and-coming attorneys.&nbsp;To be selected for the honor,&nbsp;Michigan Lawyers Weekly&nbsp;looks for lawyers who, in their first 10 or fewer years of practice, have excelled in the profession and are standouts among their peers. Along with 21 others, Terpsma will be honored during an awards luncheon April 8 in Detroit. &nbsp; Her nomination read in part: “She has successfully represented employers with respect to discrimination, harassment and retaliation lawsuits; administrative charges and proceedings with various government agencies; and labor arbitrations. In addition to her daily practice, Allyson is proving herself to be an ‘up and coming’ lawyer by her willingness to jump into additional leadership roles and responsibilities within the firm. She serves on Warner’s summer associate and interview committees.” &nbsp; Terpsma concentrates her practice on labor and employment law. Based in Warner’s Grand Rapids office, she guides employers across a variety of industries through human resources challenges and advises them on employment-related contracts and policies, civil rights laws, disability and leave issues, wage and hour compliance and labor relations. &nbsp; She serves as board chair for Home Repair Services, treasurer for the Dartmouth Alumni Club of West Michigan and as a member of the Junior League of Grand Rapids. She also is a graduate of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leaders program. &nbsp; Terpsma is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She was selected by&nbsp;Best Lawyers&nbsp;in America© for its&nbsp; Grand Rapids “Ones to Watch” list in Labor and Employment Law-Management. &nbsp; Terpsma holds a bachelor’s degree in English and economics&nbsp;magna cum laude&nbsp;from Dartmouth College and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School&nbsp;cum laude.
