Best Lawyers, which also produces the industry’s leading annual peer review of attorneys, teamed with U.S. News &amp; World Report to conduct extensive surveys of thousands of clients, attorneys and law firm staff to produce the rankings.  Attorneys from each of the firm’s eight offices, along with staff from marketing, recruiting, retention and related areas, participated in the survey.  Additionally, firm clients, associates and summer associates were surveyed.

Additionally, the firm’s Southfield, Macomb County, Lansing and Kalamazoo offices were recognized as top-tier law firms. Southfield and Macomb County were recognized for closely held companies and family business, commercial litigation, corporate, employee benefits, environmental, health care, regulatory enforcement litigation and tax.

Lansing was recognized for eminent domain and condemnation, energy, environmental, government relations practice, and construction and environmental litigation.

Kalamazoo was recognized for commercial litigation, antitrust litigation and mediation.
