James J. Steffel has been named executive partner for the Muskegon office of Warner Norcross + Judd.
Steffel will lead the Lakeshore office, which has business law attorneys focused on entity selection and foundation, employee benefits and executive compensation, labor law, immigration, intellectual property, real estate, taxation succession planning, estate and trust planning and related litigation. Muskegon is one of eight Warner offices across Michigan.
Steffel practices in several areas, including: family offices; estate planning and administration, closely held business entities, strategic legacy and succession planning, and related taxation, transactions and litigation. He is recognized in Best Lawyers in America and as a Michigan Super Lawyer. This will be the second time he has served as executive partner of the Muskegon office.
Active both professionally and in the community, Steffel is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Florida Bar Association, the West Michigan Estate Planning Council and the Lake Michigan Estate Planning Council. He also serves as a thought leader for the Family Office Exchange in Chicago and is on the board of Mercy Hospital Muskegon. Steffel is a graduate of Leadership West Michigan.
