The proprietary technology empowers brand owners with automated tools for managing, monitoring and protecting their marks.

Developed by Warner Norcross partner James L. Scott with technical support from BizStream, Capsis recently captured top honors at the Legal Marketing Association Technology Conference. As the winner of the Strategy and Innovation Impact Award, Capsis was recognized for its innovative approach to delivering value to clients.

Scott explained that Capsis improves workflow efficiency and streamlines routine administrative tasks by giving clients control of renewals, status changes and other notifications. Clients can send requests and inquiries through Capsis directly to their Warner Norcross attorneys.

“Our goal in developing Capsis was to extract and compile the information most relevant to a brand owner’s portfolio, and present it in a convenient and easy-to-use package,” Scott said. “Overlooking key data relevant to your marks or those of your competitors can result in costly mistakes. Capsis ensures that you have everything you need at your fingertips – including direct connection with your attorney in a couple of clicks.”

More than three years in development and beta testing, Capsis debuted earlier this year to solid client reviews. Based in Allendale, Michigan, BizStream is the technical partner in the development of Capsis. Since its founding by Mark Schmidt in 2001, BizStream has grown to a team of more than 20 developers.
