Nazli G. Sater, an executive partner with Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been selected to the Michigan Lawyers Weekly “Influential Women of Law” Class of 2023.
The recognition celebrates attorneys who have a commitment to excellence in the practice of law, are inspiring and accomplished leaders, serve as mentors to others and contribute significant time and effort to volunteerism and/or pro bono initiatives. Michigan Lawyers Weekly will present the awards during a Sept. 22 luncheon at Petruzzello’s Banquet and Conference Center in Troy.
Sater’s nomination read in part: “Perhaps the greatest indicator of Nazli’s legal leadership is her devotion to her craft where she is a leading voice advocating for more civility in divorce. Nazli aggressively pursues her clients’ interests but always does so with compassionate, thoughtful, fair and reasonable counsel. Since divorce is inherently difficult, Nazli endeavors to view the process as a fresh start, a path to her client’s future happiness.
"Nazli understands that redirecting the lives of divorcing couples requires a rational consideration of interests. This is particularly essential when children are involved. Nazli works to tone down the emotion and treat all parties with respect – this includes the court, opposing counsel and even the opposing party.”
As executive partner of Warner’s Bloomfield Hills office, Sater leads operations for the newest of the firm’s nine offices across the state of Michigan. The office serves clients seeking counsel and representation in family law, tax law, trusts and estates, private client and family office matters, funds and investments, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law.
Sater also serves as chair of the firm's Family Law/Divorce Practice Group where she represents clients in all aspects of family law. She is regularly involved with divorce cases that include complex business valuation issues and property division, premarital and post-nuptial agreements, custody and parenting time, spousal and child support, as well as mediation and arbitration of all related issues.
Active professionally and in the community, Sater has served on the board of the Karmanos Cancer Center since 2009. She has been named a “10 Best Family Law Attorney in Michigan” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys and is consistently recognized by Best Lawyers in America©, Michigan Super Lawyers Magazine and DBusiness Top Lawyers.
Sater is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Oakland County Bar Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and her doctor of jurisprudence from the Wayne State University Law School.
