This session will provide updates other than SECURE Act 2.0, from general trends in the retirement plan market to what we are learning from government audits and retirement plan litigation to recent guidance regarding the use of forfeitures.

The SECURE Acts (1.0 and 2.0) have significantly affected retirement plans. Since last year, the government agencies charged with enforcing the legislation have started to issue administrative guidance on how plans should operate under the new laws. This session will review recent developments in SECURE guidance, advice for implementing the laws, open questions and law changes still to take effect.

Navigating the Intersection: Pregnancy Discrimination Act, ADA and FMLA Compliance

In this session, we'll dive into the recently enacted Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) and Providing Urgent Maternal Protections (PUMP) for Nursing Mothers Act alongside an examination of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). We’ll review the complex and sometimes overlapping regulatory frameworks surrounding leaves and other accommodations frequently sought in the workplace and provide practical guidance on navigating them effectively.
