Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Partner Thomas J. Manganello has been inducted into the Hall of Fame by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
The publication's 2020 Hall of Fame class honors 20 Michigan attorneys for their lifelong achievements and demonstration of strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field. Manganello, who has nearly four decades of experience handling a range of automotive supply chain legal matters, currently serves as co-chair of Warner's Automotive Industry Group and leads its Autonomous and Connected Mobility committee. He practices in the firm's Southfield office.
Manganello and his fellow honorees will be profiled in an issue of Michigan Lawyers Weekly followed by an awards luncheon ceremony on Oct. 9 at the Detroit Marriot Troy.
Manganello's commitment to the law and to Warner go far beyond his individual contributions. When asked by Michigan Lawyers Weekly what he hopes his legacy will be, Manganello responded that he wants to help develop a future workforce full of enterprising attorneys who have a passion for the law, but also have a passion for the broader industry they represent.
"It's about being part of something bigger than just one particular project. Being intimately involved in, and passionate about, your industry will lead to more collaboration, innovation and advancement for the groups you represent," Manganello said.
This philosophy is particularly evident in Manganello's commitment to MICHauto, the organization he founded in 2007 to encourage the historically siloed auto industry into a more collaborative partnership dedicated to promoting and growing the manufacturing sector in Michigan. Under his leadership, MICHauto has become a key initiative within the Detroit Chamber of Commerce's economic development strategy to attract and retain automotive talent and businesses to the region.
Manganello has won numerous awards throughout his legal career, including recognition as a Leader in the Law, Best Lawyers, Michigan Super Lawyers and Top Lawyers. He is a sought after speaker who frequently participates in national automotive policy conferences.
Manganello places significant importance on giving back to the industry and the Metro Detroit community through a series of leadership and volunteer roles, including serving on the boards of the Automotive Hall of Fame, Detroit Regional Chamber and MICHauto. He also remains active in several professional legal associations and is a graduate of Leadership Detroit.
