Significant advances in technology are taking place and influencing our daily lives in ways we can’t imagine. Technology is transforming how we learn, work, shop, drive and communicate, and have taken the construction, health care, higher education, manufacturing, automotive, real estate, entertainment and aerospace/defense industries by storm. These new forms of digital expression, such as autonomous vehicles, are reshaping our society. And within the legal profession, we must prepare ourselves for an increase in vulnerabilities to our own organizations.

Today, organizations are experiencing cyberattacks and privacy threats at alarming rates on all levels across the globe. Advanced technology, such as AR, exposes new avenues of cyberattacks and raises privacy and security concerns, while stimulating regulations that could impede innovation.

Bob Nolan: Bob is a client manager for many large Warner clients. Accordingly, his approach is a “one call and I have it from here” approach to assembling the very best team for any legal matter. Bob’s specialties include counseling clients in complex commercial real estate development, corporate mergers and acquisition transactions and depositions and conversions. Bob also helps organizations make sound decisions in real estate acquisitions, transactions and contracts, and advises clients on maintaining compliance with antitrust competition laws.&nbsp; His diverse practice experience provides the framework to assessing complex legal needs for our largest clients.

Tom Manganello: Tom co-leads the Automotive Industry Group and the Autonomous and Connected Mobility Subcommittee for Warner. His vast experience includes automotive product liability and negligence trials, warranty, recall and contract disputes and extends to compliance with NHTSA regulations. His expertise is called upon by manufacturers, industrial and pharmaceutical companies in supply chain and commission sales disputes. Tom helped found and serves as chair of MICHauto, Michigan’s automotive industry cluster association dedicated to promoting, retaining and growing the automotive industry in Michigan, and frequently speaks on technology in the automotive industry – including a popular debate against Ralph Nader on the topic of autonomous vehicles.&nbsp;

Brian Wassom: Brian co-leads the Emerging Media and Connected Devices Practice Group at Warner, and was the first attorney to blog on AR-related legal issues (since 2011, before hardly anyone outside the industry had heard the term “augmented reality”), the first to write articles and books on the subject, and on the legal team responsible for the first constitutional challenge to a law regulating AR content. As an avid writer and speaker on all things AR/VR, Brian’s practice is making waves across state and federal courtrooms. Even the U.S. Congress sought his advice on the subject when preparing to hold its first hearing on AR.

Nate Steed: Nate co-leads the Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Group and counsels numerous organizations in technology and intellectual property law, health law and privacy and information security law. His specialty involves acquisitions and use of software, hardware and the internet of things. Nate frequently speaks and writes on cutting edge topics such as ransomware, data breaches, geofencing and other technology-focused trends, and helps organizations maintain compliance with state and federal privacy and information security laws. Most recently, Nate assisted a client in managing an external attack to the company’s computing environment which required a multi-state response. &nbsp;
