Michigan State University Bioeconomy Institute’s ‘Patent 101’

The Michigan State University Bioeconomy Institute has invited Chad Kleinheksel, a partner at Warner Norcross + Judd, to lead a “Patent 101” lecture for inventors, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in turning innovative ideas into protected assets.

Kleinheksel, who chairs Warner’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, will offer best practices and tips for filing a patent in the U.S. and abroad. Kleinheksel concentrates his practice on intellectual property and patent law, managing patent strategy, portfolio and infringement risk, as well as patent enforcement for multiple multinational corporations. He also counsels small and midsized businesses and startups. Kleinheksel is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

The complimentary event is hosted by MSU BI’s Holland institute which offers business incubation opportunities and extensive laboratory space rental, as well as educational programming, training and related services.
