Leading Great Lakes Bay Region Immigration Attorney Joins Warner

Leading Great Lakes Bay Region immigration attorney Michael E. Wooley has joined the law firm of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP as a partner.

Wooley has two decades of experience in business and family immigration law, working with both U.S. employers and foreign professionals. His work focuses on health care, manufacturing, higher education and information technology. Additionally, he assists clients in professional and semi-professional sports.

He will practice in the firm’s Midland office, serving clients throughout the state and beyond.

Prior to joining Warner, Wooley worked at Braun Kendrick, where he chaired the firm’s immigration law practice. He is fluent in Spanish.

Wooley is active in the Great Lakes Bay Region, serving on the board of directors for both New Dimensions, a vocational rehabilitation center in Bay City, and the Japanese Cultural Center, Tea House and Gardens in Saginaw. He has been a Great Lakes Bay regional ambassador since 2008. A former city commissioner for Bay City, he has strong roots in the community.

Wooley has been recognized for his work in immigration by Michigan Super Lawyers and The Detroit News. He is a published author and has made numerous television appearances on immigration topics. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, State Bar of Michigan and the Bay County and Saginaw County bar associations.

He holds a bachelor of arts from Central Michigan University and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Before practicing law, he was a U.S. Peace Corp volunteer in Ecuador.

A native of Barryton in Mecosta County, he currently resides in Bay City with his wife, Magali, and their two daughters, Angelique and Victoria.
