Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Partner Greg Schmidt has joined the Humane Society of West Michigan’s board of directors. Schmidt will serve a three-year term on the board.
The Humane Society of West Michigan was first formed in 1883 by a group of citizens who shared concerns about abused, neglected and homeless animals. Today, the nonprofit has a long history of promoting humane treatment and responsible care of animals in West Michigan through education, example, placement and protection.
Schmidt is a corporate attorney who guides clients through mergers, acquisitions and divesting business assets, as well as the negotiations of routine and complex deals. His expertise extends to the renewable energy space and the pharmaceutical, furniture, software and electrical controls and supplies industries. A large portion of his clientele encompasses “serial acquirers” which regularly purchase businesses. Overall, Schmidt has successfully managed hundreds of deals for clients where he’s served as both lead and teammate – contributing where it counts and keeping deals moving forward.
