Four Warner Team Members Named to Michigan Lawyers Weekly ‘Unsung Heroes’ Class of 2023

Four team members of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP have been named among Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s “Unsung Heroes” for 2023.

Unsung Heroes have consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty, often behind the scenes. This award is reserved for the state’s most talented and dedicated legal support professionals, from firm administrators to legal marketing to paralegals. Audrey Pimpleton, Amy DeVisser, Courtney Failer and Elizabeth McKee are recognized in the legal marketing category.

The Warner team members recognized are:

  • Audrey Pimpleton, regional office administrator for Warner, who was recognized in the Firm Administrator/Office Manager category. Pimpleton provides oversight of general operations and facilities for six Warner offices in West and Mid-Michigan. She also manages the firm’s legal assistant program, managing coverage assignments and change recommendations of legal assistants to attorneys and paralegals. A natural peacemaker, Pimpleton offers guidance to avoid or resolve staff workplace conflict. She joined the firm in 1999 and is based in the Grand Rapids office.
  • Amy DeVisser, senior legal assistant and manager of the firm’s Holland office, who was acknowledged in the Legal Assistant category. In this dual role, DeVisser provides legal assistance and support to the chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group and executive partner of the Holland office, preparing and managing documents, assisting with client estate plan signings and other matters, and performing a wide range of administrative duties. She also oversees daily operations of the firm’s Holland office to ensure everything runs smoothly. DeVisser joined the firm in 1994.
  • Courtney Failer, community relations manager, who was recognized in the Professionals category. She drives positive change and engagement by overseeing the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiatives with more than 175 organizations across the state. Failer develops and manages sponsorship and volunteer requests, connecting attorneys with leadership and volunteer opportunities to engage in the nine communities where the firm has offices. She oversees the firm’s charitable giving program and coordinates award nominations and communitywide programs. Failer joined the firm in 2017 and is based in the Grand Rapids office.
  • Elizabeth McKee, financial manager, who was recognized in the Professionals category. In her financial leadership role, she is responsible for financial reporting and analytics and attorney statistical reporting. McKee tackles large projects, such as budget and taxes, as well as day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure Warner – one of the largest law firms in Michigan – continues to operate seamlessly. She joined the firm in 2021 and is based in the Grand Rapids office.
