The Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Michigan’s 35th Annual Bankruptcy Section Seminar will convene more than 20 federal and state judges, consumer and commercial insolvency professionals and other business leaders for robust discussion on recent developments and hot topics in bankruptcy law.
Warner attorney and co-chair of the firm’s Cannabis Industry Group, Robert Hendricks is among the panelists who will discuss “Burn it Down: The Cannabis Industry Aflame.” Hendricks, who has become a recognized leader in Michigan’s cannabis industry, and his fellow panelists will examine how the industry has evolved in recent years and offer opinions on how it’s likely to unfold in the future. The group will pay special attention to cannabis entities that are currently the subject of state court receiverships and examine how those businesses are reorganizing.
At Warner, Hendricks represents growers, retailers, processors, labs and secure transporters who directly participate in marijuana enterprises in Michigan, as well as those businesses that provide ancillary goods and services to the industry. Warner’s Cannabis Industry Group includes 20+ attorneys who are collectively experienced in virtually every legal discipline required to help industry participants grow and succeed.
The three-day seminar runs from July 27-29 at the Park Place Hotel & Conference Center in Traverse City. In addition to plenary and breakout sessions on a range of topics, event participants will have the opportunity to network with colleagues and enjoy northern Michigan.
