Catherine H. Jacobs, senior counsel of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been selected for the board of directors of the Better Business Bureau Serving Western Michigan.

Jacobs’ three-year term begins in January as she and five fellow board members work to improve the organization, which serves 38 counties in its goal to make West Michigan the most trusted place in America to do business. All board members are limited to a maximum of two terms.   Jacobs practices trusts and estates law, concentrating on elder law and disability issues such as estate planning, long-term care planning, Medicaid benefits and planning for individuals with special needs.   Active professionally and in the community, Jacobs is a trustee for Ada Township, where she also serves on the Planning Commission. She is on the boards of Forest Hills Public Schools, Elder Law of Michigan and Senior Neighbors Grand Rapids, where she serves as secretary. Additionally, Jacobs serves as board secretary for the Council on Aging and on the steering and member/marketing media committees of the Caregiver Resource Network.   She regularly presents on estate and succession planning, elder law and special needs care across the state for various organizations. In 2018, Jacobs was honored with the Jerry O’Bee Award by the Caregiver Resource Network, recognizing her substantial work as a key advocate for the organization and family caregivers.
