Catherine H. Jacobs Recognized as Notable Nonprofit Board Leader by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business

Catherine H. Jacobs, senior counsel at Warner, has been recognized as a Notable Nonprofit Board Leader in the inaugural list in Crain’s Grand Rapids Business.

Jacobs was spotlighted for her leadership on the board of Senior Neighbors, which works to help older adults stay independent through a wide range of essential services and five Senior Neighbors centers. Her work with the Grand Rapids-based nonprofit contributed to a 28% increase in revenue.

Jacobs is one of 22 West Michigan leaders featured in the list recognized for their nonprofit board work. The publication noted: “These 22 leaders treat board service as the second job it is, applying their professional skills to boost their chosen organization’s profile, finances and outreach.”

Jacobs concentrates her practice on elder law, providing comprehensive estate and succession planning for individuals, families and businesses. She works extensively helping older adults in the areas of Medicaid qualification and in assisting those with special needs.

Active professionally and in the community, Jacobs devotes many hours to serving on community boards and committees. In addition to her work with Senior Neighbors, she supports Elder Law of Michigan, Caregiver Resource Network and the Council on Aging, as well as Ada Township and Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation.
