ACEDS Detroit to Host eDiscovery Symposium

The Association of eDiscovery Specialists will host its first annual Detroit 2016 Fall eDiscovery Symposium at the Book Cadillac Hotel in downtown Detroit on Thursday, September 22, 2016.  The event is sponsored by Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, Computing Source, DTI, Inventus and Integreon.

The half-day program features discussion and best practices on information governance, cybersecurity, case law, ethics and technology assisted review (TAR) utilization. Judge Michael Hluchaniuk, retired Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan, will offer the keynote address based on his eight years on the federal bench and his 27 years with the U.S. Attorney’s Office where he played a leading role in drafting and implementing the district’s model eDiscovery order.

“For organizations that collect and store data, the stakes have never been higher,” said Mary Mack, Executive Director for ACEDS. “It’s increasingly important that these organizations understand both the new industry rules and regulations as well as best practices in governance and security.”

Event registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Book Cadillac, 1114 Washington Blvd, Detroit, MI 48226, and the program concludes after a networking lunch.
