The 23rd Annual Family Law Institute attracts 500+ members of the Michigan family law community looking to connect and grow their understanding of critical industry issues. Co-sponsored by the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Michigan Judicial Institute, the event is a deep dive into topical matters like AI in divorce settlements and changes in the Michigan Child Support Formula as well as offering best practices from the initial client meeting through trial or mediation.
Warner Norcross + Judd LLP partners Ric Roane and Jamie Slotsema are participating on the Friday afternoon panel “Alimony and the Use of Experts to Level the Playing Field” to review factors judges rely on in granting alimony versus spousal support. With Brian Bakker, director at Stout advisory group, serving as an expert witness, Roane and Slotsema will lead a mock trial before Hon. Kent Engle of Ottawa County Circuit to demonstrate how persuasive use of financial experts can help level the playing field.
Warner is proud to be a sponsor of the two-day event held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. For more information on the event and CLE credits, please click here.
