Warner Norcross + Judd attorneys Brian Wassom and Katie Pullen are presenting at The North American International Cyber Summit 2017 hosted by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, and is once again set to take place in the heart of Downtown Detroit at Cobo Center. This event in its sixth year will bring together experts from across the globe to address a variety of cyber-security issues impacting the world. The Summit is scheduled for Monday, October 30, 2017 with an invitation-only Governor’s reception taking place the evening of Sunday, October 29, 2017.
Brian and Katie are presenting “When It Rains, It Pours: How Data Breaches Can Get You Sued, and What to Do About It.” As a part of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Group at Warner, they guide clients through cyber threats and breaches, and educate clients on preparing and responding to these situations.
The State of Michigan has long been considered a national leader on cyber security, leading the discussion on emerging trends and best practices in policy, law and all manner of public and private interests. The agenda for the event will showcase internationally recognized speakers as well as experts from around the country to lead featured breakout sessions on the following featured industry topics:
The 2nd Annual Governor’s High School Cyber Challenge finals will take place at the Summit. This event challenges high school students’ skills in computer science, information technology and cyber security through the school year in a two round statewide competition. The final competition and award presentation will take place at the Summit on Monday, October 30, 2017.
