• Frequently represents physician groups negotiating with hospitals and large national companies, establishing outpatient clinics (such as cyberknife facilities and dialysis clinics) or other joint ventures.
• Completed provider contract negotiations for managed care organization and also on behalf of hospitals, group practices and surgical centers.
• Regularly advises community hospitals, physicians and other medical service providers concerning Stark II compliance, federal and Michigan anti-fraud and anti-kickback statutes, and tax-exemption issues (including tax-exempt bonds).
• Successfully represents physician groups and individual physicians in separation-of-practice negotiations.

Business

• Advises and represents businesses in all phases of development and operation, from successful start-up and capitalization to profitable operation, to purchase of new businesses, and sale or merger.
• Assists businesses in designing operational solutions, including practical contracts and employment arrangements and technology licensing.
• Represents businesses in structuring effective joint venture transactions.
