Nate regularly hears that he’s surprisingly “laid back,” for an engineer and patent attorney. He and his wife are enthusiastic members of the local “maker” community – she, focusing on woodworking (“beautifully-fashioned cutting boards and similar items”) and he, on making electronic control systems and “welding and fabricating metal things.” He proudly reports that he has not parked in his garage, where his wife has her woodworking studio, in six or seven years. The two also travel together extensively, loving nothing better than taking off in a camper and exploring new places.
