The justice system has always captivated me. It’s the unsung hero that dictates the legislative process and has widespread impact on people’s lives – including my own. I’ve seen firsthand the good it can do and how far it can go to ensure clients' rights are protected, and I get to be a part of it. Trained as a litigator, I take on clients’ problems as my own and work relentlessly to assess their brands' risks and resolve any disputes, keeping their interests top of mind at all times.

Mark Zuccaro is an attorney in Warner’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Much of his work involves counseling clients on trademark, trade dress and copyright matters. In addition to advising clients on intellectual property issues, Mark also provides essential support to Warner’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group, specializing in disputes concerning intellectual property, unfair competition and other general corporate matters. In his capacity as a litigator, Mark has a steel-trap memory when it comes to case law, reciting cases from long ago that are pertinent to today. That, combined with a knack for practical problem solving, positions Mark as a top pick when assembling choice attorneys to a client’s team.

His work experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Cleland at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan has proved invaluable to his career. Having spent a full year on the “inside” of a federal courtroom, Mark quickly became adept in jury and non-jury trials, evaluating pleadings and motions to craft recommendations to Judge Cleland. Additionally, he penned numerous draft opinions and orders to resolve dispositive and non-dispositive motions, and provided guidance on appropriate disposition of discovery disputes, evidentiary issues and a variety of pre-trial matters. All of this and more has bolstered his deep-bench knowledge that supports his litigation practice. He confidently comprehends how the courts make their decisions, and tailors his approach accordingly.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and an additional major in criminal justice with high honors from Michigan State University where he was an Honors College graduate and Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law <em>summa cum laude</em> where he served as associate editor for the Michigan State Law Review and as a member of the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute. Mark received a Jurisprudence Achievement Award in Administration Law; TPI Pretrial I; Research, Writing &amp; Advocacy; Advanced Contracts &amp; Negotiations; and Criminal Procedure: Investigations.
