Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and criminal justice, <em>cum laude</em>, from Grand Valley State University. While at Grand Valley, Lauren was vice president of public relations for the Student Senate and was honored with the Thomas M. Seykora Award for outstanding contribution.
