- Represents new and existing businesses in securing liquor licenses (including licenses purchased from third parties, licenses transferred under court order and newly-granted licenses).

- Represented Shepler’s Mackinac Island Ferry in the sale of a majority of its stock to The Hoffmann Family of Companies
- Assisted in representation of Spartan Stores, Inc. in its merger with Nash-Finch Company.
- Assisted in representation of Morbark, LLC in its merger with an affiliate of Stellex Capital Management.
- Assisted in representation of ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc. in its merger with County Bank Corp. and its acquisition of Community Shores Bank Corporation
- Assisted in representation of Chemical Financial Corporation in its merger with Talmer Bancorp, Inc. and its acquisitions of Northwestern Bancorp, Monarch Community Bancorp, Inc. and Lake Michigan Financial Corporation.
- Assisted in representation of Founders Financial Corporation in its merger with Old National Bancorp.
