It includes specific policies ranging from professional ethics for faculty members to awarding tenure to faculty. It also provides a comprehensive system for appealing tenure decisions and a coaching and grievance policy for staff generally.&nbsp; <br /><br />The manual has been an invaluable aid to the administration of the college for dealing with a wide range of employment issues and has assisted in lessening conflict and defining the employment relationship in a concrete way.
