Mr. Kohl has focused his practice on litigation and environmental law since 1983. He has broad national experience representing manufactures in the chemical, automotive, utility and cement industries. Mr. Kohl has tried and argued cases on appeal, involving questions of first impression, in a variety of state and federal courts within and outside of Michigan, including the 6th and 3rd Federal Circuits and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Mr. Kohl has extensive permitting, compliance and enforcement experience under the federal Clean Air Act and state air pollution control laws involving USEPA, USDOJ and state authorities. Mr. Kohl counsels clients on matters under the New Source Review, NSPS, NESHAP and Title V provisions of the Clean Air Act.
