Representative Experience
- Stenger v. Provident Life & Accident Ins. Co. (United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin): Prosecuted bad faith claim and obtained a published decision denying insurance company’s motion for summary judgment
- Co-counsel for Fifth Third Insurance Services, Inc. (formerly “Old Kent Insurance Group, Inc.”) obtaining summary disposition as the plaintiff in a breach of employment contract/trade secret misappropriation case
- Co-counsel for Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, Inc., in employment discrimination case. Successfully argued appeal in the first reported decision in the Michigan Appellate courts addressing the FMLA
- Co-counsel for Holland Community Hospital in employment discrimination case. Successfully argued appeal of trial court's grant of summary disposition
- Co-counsel for Market Development Corporation obtaining judgment striking down the City of Fenton's water and sewer tap-in ordinance as unconstitutional
- Co-counsel for Lakeview Community Hospital in hospital privileges case. Obtained dismissal in federal court which was upheld on appeal by the Sixth Circuit
- Co-counsel for Wrench LLC in an idea misappropriation case against Taco Bell. Successfully obtained reversal of the trial court's grant of summary judgment by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and $30.1 million jury verdict
- Co-counsel for National Nail Company in successful defense of motion for preliminary injunction in lawsuit brought by multinational corporation alleging breach of covenant not to compete, breach of duty of loyalty and tortious interference with business relationships
- Successfully represented Viacom Outdoor, Inc., and other clients in zoning matters in municipalities around Michigan
