Experience

  • Real estate litigation experience includes enforcing loan agreements through foreclosure and injunction proceedings and litigating cases involving fraud and fraudulent transfers; litigating lease disputes; obtaining the appointment of commercial receivers; litigating landlord-tenant matters, including evictions.
  • Commercial litigation experience includes litigating cases involving breach of contract, fraud, misappropriation, embezzlement, larceny, conversion, unfair trade practices, non-competes and other general civil litigation, including up through collection on judgments and enforcement of judgments in Michigan state and federal courts.
  • Represents creditors in commercial and consumer bankruptcy proceedings under Chapters 7, 11 and 13.
  • Represents clients in adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, including preference and fraudulent transfer proceedings, nondischargeability proceedings, and proceedings to determine the validity and priority of various claims or interests.
