The Environmental Group has substantial experience assisting clients in reviewing and assessing regulatory compliance under all of the major environmental laws.

We regularly counsel clients in all areas of manufacturing, including special expertise in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. In addition, we have provided expertise to petroleum wholesalers and retailers with respect to a wide variety of compliance, enforcement, and acquisition issues. We work closely with our clients to reduce risk and exposure to environmental liabilities and to develop cost-effective compliance strategies within the regulatory framework.

Warner has been involved with the auditing process from the start—we helped draft Michigan's environmental audit privilege and immunity law and successfully represented four large Michigan trade associations in defending the law against a challenge by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Department of Justice.
