William R. Jansen, the partner in charge of the Southfield office of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been elected to on the Firm's Management Committee.
The Management Committee, chaired by firm's Managing Partner Douglas E. Wagner, is responsible for the strategic vision and the day-to-day operations of Warner Norcross, one of the largest law firms in Michigan. Jansen has been elected for his second term on the 10-member committee.
Jansen concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, business law, commercial law and corporate law. He works extensively with national and international automotive suppliers, utility companies and media outlets, and is a national facilitative mediator in utility-based litigation.
He has been recognized as one of the 25 Leaders in the Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. Jansen has been honored by The Best Lawyers in America for a number of years for his work in commercial litigation. He has also been named one of the top 100 Michigan Super Lawyers in 2007 and 2008.
Active professionally, Jansen is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Illinois State Bar Association, Oakland County Bar Association, Jackson County Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. He has served as chair of the Jackson County Mediation Committee.
He holds a bachelor of science summa cum laude in chemical engineering and doctor of jurisprudence degree cum laude from the University of Michigan.
