Steven Kohl, a partner in Warner Norcross & Judd's Southfield office, will be the moderator for a panel discussion on the "Clean Air Act and Climate Change" during the American Bar Association's meeting in Chicago, July 8-9.
Kohl, who focuses his practice on environmental litigation, climate change, and environmental law, is moderating the event for the ABA's Section of Environment, Energy and Resources from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on July 9, at the Swissotel in Chicago.
The discussion is part of a conference that focuses on practice-oriented policy and enforcement developments in the U.S. EPA Region 5, consisting of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. The panel will discuss the latest initiatives being undertaken nationally and regionally to address climate change. The focus will be on Great Lakes Basin initiatives and, in particular, the Midwest Greenhouse Gas Reduction Accord. It will also discuss potential disparate impacts of various national and regional proposals on the Region 5 states, as well as recent air enforcement trends.
