Warner Norcross & Judd LLP Attorney Donald J. Veldman was recently inducted as a fellow into the College of Labor and Employment Law.
Veldman is of counsel with the firm and concentrates his practice on labor law. His election to this position is the highest recognition by one's colleagues of outstanding performance in the labor and employment law field exemplifying dedication and excellence to the profession with its unique areas of collective bargaining, dispute resolution and related employment issues.
The College was established in 1995 through an initiative of the Council of the Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association. It operates as a free-standing organization recognizing those who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field.
Veldman joined Warner Norcross in 1986. He has represented both private and public sector employers in issues such as union avoidance, union elections, collective bargaining, arbitrations, labor board and other agency proceedings relating to unfair labor practices, wage hour and discrimination issues.
He has been recognized as one of the Best lawyers in America for labor and employment law for the past 23 years. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan. He is the past chair of the Employers Association of West Michigan.
