Mai Nishikubo is a Japan Business Specialist who works with the growing Japan Practice Group at Warner Norcross & Judd LLP.
A native of Japan, Nishikubo acts as a liaison with the Japanese business community, coordinates client support on Japan-related matters and manages educational outreach programs for Warner's Japan Business Practice. She works in the Southfield office of the Firm, which is home to the Japan Practice Group.
Prior to joining Warner Norcross, Nishikubo worked as extra chancellor for the Consulate General of Japan in Detroit and Chicago. In that role, she served as the primary contact for the U.S. Department of State for all non-security related matters, coordinated visits and domestic travel for Consulate guests from Japan, assisted with cultural presentations and programs, handled updates to the web site and related manners. She also worked as a student advisor at Surugadai University in Saitama, Japan.
Nishikubo holds a bachelor of arts degree in Japanese studies from Sophia University in Tokyo.
