General representation of international investors and manufacturing companies with particular experience representing U.S., Japanese and E.U. companies in joint ventures, acquisitions of U.S. and Asia-based companies, venture capital, and cross-border licensing, OEM, distribution and supply agreements. Andrew lived and practiced law in Japan for nearly a decade. He has acted as general outside counsel to Japanese companies in the U.S., and to U.S. and E.U. companies in Japan. He recently advised clients doing business in China, Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong and Japan.

    • Represented OEM supplier in the license of production technology from a Japanese company
    • Represented Japanese companies in the Midwest, California and Japan in international litigation, arbitration, mediation and the settlement of disputes with U.S. companies (and vice verse) in connection with supply agreements, technology license agreements and product distribution agreements
    • Represented Japanese company in the sale of automotive parts to a U.S.-based OEM
    • Represent Michigan subsidiary of Japanese OEM supplier in immigration and day-to-day legal matters
    • Represent Japanese company establishing U.S. distributorships for off-road vehicles

    Mergers and Acquisitions
    • Represented Japanese companies in the acquisition of high tech venture companies in the U.S.
    • Represented Korean company in the acquisition of U.S. corporations and licensing transactions
    • Represented Japanese investors in the sale of high profile commercial mixed-use real estate holdings in California
    • Represented Japanese companies in the closure and sale of manufacturing facilities in Oregon, Alaska and California
    • Represented U.S. financial investors in the acquisition of distressed real estate assets, manufacturing companies, venture companies, department stores and banks in Japan
